Infomaniak review (2026): Swiss web hosting, real price and limits

Infomaniak review, plan checked on 23 Oct 2026: Web Hosting from CHF 10.91/month, 250 GB SSD, 20 sites, 30 free days, data centres in Switzerland. Real 3-year cost compared with o2switch and PlanetHoster, and who it is worth the price for.

Infomaniak is the host people mention when they want to move away from the big groups: an independent Swiss company that builds its own management console and hosts everything in its data centres in Switzerland. Its reputation is excellent, its entry price less so. This review answers the question that matters before you order: what you will pay, and what you get on top of a cheaper French host.

To price your own case (number of sites, duration, VAT), use our real web hosting cost calculator over 1 to 5 years, where Infomaniak sits next to o2switch and PlanetHoster.

How this review was put together

We did not run a benchmark on an Infomaniak account. This review is documentary: it relies on the Web Hosting plan page checked on 23 October 2026, and compares its prices and features with those of o2switch and PlanetHoster, checked on 18 and 22 October. The host's own claims (environmental footprint, share of staff in R&D) are quoted as such, without verification on our side.

Infomaniak plans in 2026

PlanDisplayed priceWhat is included
Web Hostingfrom CHF 10.91/month250 GB SSD, 20 sites, unlimited databases and traffic, 100+ CMS, 30 free days
Web + Mailfrom CHF 13.20/monthweb hosting plus 5 email addresses on your domain
Managed Cloud Serverfrom CHF 38.41/monthguaranteed resources, up to 32 vCPU and 128 GB of RAM

Three details sit in the small print. A valid credit card is required to start the free trial, which you can cancel at any time. Infomaniak also shows a 30-day money-back guarantee and a discount from your second web hosting plan. Finally, billing is yearly or monthly depending on the configuration: check the billing period in the cart before you confirm.

Price: Swiss francs, and no first-year promotion

The French page shows prices in Swiss francs and does not say whether they include VAT. At the ECB rate of 16 October 2026 (CHF 1 = EUR 1.0785), CHF 10.91 is about EUR 11.77 a month, or EUR 141 a year. The amount actually charged depends on your bank and your billing country.

The upside is clarity: there is no teaser price that triples at renewal. Apart from the free month, you pay the same rate in year one and year three. At o2switch, the Cloud plan goes from EUR 22.32 excl. VAT in year one to EUR 192 excl. VAT afterwards; at PlanetHoster, the EUR 5.49 a month promotion over 24 months goes back up to EUR 19.99 a month.

Over three years, with one free month then 35 paid months, Infomaniak comes to about EUR 412. That is more than o2switch Grow (EUR 252 excl. VAT, or EUR 302.40 incl. VAT for a private customer in France) and PlanetHoster Standard (EUR 287.64). Whether the gap is justified depends on what follows.

High-mountain landscape against the light: snow-covered peaks with dark rocky ridges tower over a valley veiled in haze; in the left foreground, a metal walkway and a small building cling to the edge of a cliff.

What the price buys: Switzerland, space and support

Hosting in Switzerland. Infomaniak states that its infrastructure and products are developed and hosted in Switzerland. For a business, a practice or a non-profit that wants to keep its data away from the large US groups and in a country with demanding data protection law, this is often the deciding argument.

Space. 250 GB of SSD and 20 sites on the entry plan is comfortable for a developer or an agency running several client sites. o2switch goes further with unlimited storage; PlanetHoster Standard stops at 10 GB of NVMe.

Backups. Automatic restore puts a site back the way it was up to 7 days earlier, with a copy in another data centre. That is shorter than the 30 days of o2switch Grow or the 45 days of PlanetHoster: if you want a longer history, plan your own external backup.

Support. Infomaniak advertises phone and email support 7 days a week from Geneva and Zurich, and a 24/7 premium support option. We did not measure response times.

The ecosystem. Mail, kDrive, kChat, kMeet, SwissTransfer: if you want your site, email and collaboration tools with a single European provider, Infomaniak is one of the few to offer it all under the same console.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Pick Infomaniak if you are a business or a non-profit that cares about hosting in Switzerland, if you run several sites and need space, or if you want a stable price with no surprise at renewal.

Look elsewhere if you are launching one small site and want the lowest price: o2switch Grow costs EUR 84 excl. VAT a year with no increase (see our o2switch review), and PlanetHoster gives you 60 days to get a refund (see our PlanetHoster review).

Our verdict

Infomaniak is not the cheapest host, and it does not claim to be. It sells Swiss hosting, a price that does not triple at renewal, plenty of space and support you can reach every day. For a professional who values those points, the extra cost of about EUR 110 over three years against o2switch is reasonable. For a personal blog, it is not: start with the 30-day free trial, and compare with your own usage in the calculator.
